The Final Events

April 11th, 2010 jimer | Viewed: 419 views No comments

Final Events DVDYesterday (Sabbath) after lunch my family watched this film produced by Amazing Facts entitle The Final Events of Bible Prophecy. Actually, it’s my second time to watch this movie and every time I watch it, it reminds me of my life as of this moment. How’s my faith right now? Am I living in accordance to the will of God? is my path straight enough for Him to come right now and me being saved?

Yesterday, I feel so blessed because of two things? A very inspiring sermon by Bro. Michael Dalida that says, signs of the times are now being felt and seen, this are just small footsteps of the BIG thing that is coming and yet have we done our part in spreading the gospel of Jesus. He said, there are two ways or types how to spread the gospel of God, through pastors preaching and the second is the silent preachers which is our good books. This work is not just for lay evangelist who go house to house sell books and minister, but this work is for every members of the church which I was challenged. And second reason why I am so blessed is I’ve watched this video The Final Events of Bible Prophecy. So, I want you to watch it also and I am sharing it to you through this website of mine. Family bondings? There are 11 long weekends in 2010

March 31st, 2010 jimer | Viewed: 287 views No comments

Filipinos can look forward to two long weekends in April. The first will fall on the Holy Week starting April 1 (Maundy Thursday) to April 4 (Easter Sunday). The second long weekend will be on April 9 (Friday) for the annual commemoration of the Araw nang Kagitingan.  April 9 has been declared as regular non-working holiday.

President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, meanwhile, declared April 3 (Black Saturday) as a special non-working holiday throughout the country, while April 1 and 2 are declared as regular, movable non-working holiday.

“Movable” holidays are dates that usually fall within the five-day workweek. President Arroyo occasionally “moves” these holidays to either Monday or Friday. Besides extending weekends, the move helps promote “tourism economics,” encouraging families to take vacations.

There are at least 11 long weekends in the country. Read more…

(Movie) The Blind Side

March 23rd, 2010 jimer | Viewed: 420 views No comments

After doing some online projects (while downloading torrent movie on the background), just take time to relax and watch “The Blind Side” starred by Sandra Bullock.

The story depicts the life of Michael Oher, a homeless African-American kid who is a product of a broken home, taken cared of and adopted by the Touhy’s, a rich white family who helped him unlock his full potential. Oher became the 2009 NFL draft playing as an offensive lineman for the Baltimore Ravens.

For 17 years, Michael Oher (Quinton Aaron) has been in foster care with different families. Everytime he is sent to a new home, he usually runs away, feeling lonely and depressed. His fathers friend enrolled “Big Mike” in a christian school after the father convinces the coach that he is a natural athlete.

At Wingate Christian School ( a fictional representation of Briarcrest Christian School in Memphis Tenessee ), “Big Mike” met SJ, the son of Leigh Anne Touhy. One night, the family saw “Big Mike” strolling in the park, shivering in the cold. Leigh Anne pities his situation and offered “Big Mike” a place to stay. The next morning, much to Leigh Anne’s dismay, He saw the bed sheets properly folded and saw “Big Mike” walking out to the driveway. She then offered him if he could stay for thanksgiving, which he did. From then on, “Big Mike” slowly became part of the family and got close with SJ and Lily. Read more…

Panagbenga 2010

March 1st, 2010 jimer | Viewed: 678 views 1 comment

benga 2010

The Panagbenga Festival is held yearly during the month of February. The celebrations are held for over a month and peak periods are the weekends. The Panagbenga Festival showcases the many floral floats and native dances. The fragrant smells that could be presently teasing olfactory senses are probably less from the now-dried flowers from Valentine’s Day than air floating all the way from Baguio City. At this time of year, the City of Pines is almost surely in flower fury over Panagbenga festival, the city’s biggest festival.

February 21st, 2010 jimer | Viewed: 263 views No comments

One of Nickelodeon’s biggest shows, with an appeal over an incredibly large cross-section of viewers, was Avatar: The Last Airbender. When you couple a big-name kids’ show with great storytelling and a huge following with the rolling slow-motion train wreck that is M. Night Shyamalan, you get The Last Airbender, coming to theatres July 2010.

The Last Airbender will send us out with Aang, the last of the Airbender race and heir to the great legacy of Avatars, masters of all four elements. Aang ventures forth along with some familiar friends to defeat the grasping Fire Nation, masters of the fire element who have conquered most of the planet. Check out the trailer.
