The Celluon Magic Cube is a ground-breaking innovation of projected keyboards which allows iGadget users to type on their devices without a clumsy keyboard. The Cube adopts an avant-garde optical recognition mechanism. Place the projection from the mini box on a flat surface and then a virtual keyboard will be ready for typing. When using a laptop, the Cube can be switched to mouse mode and a multi-touch virtual mouse pad will show up. To give a more realistic typing experience, the Cube can even produce real typing sounds when tapping on the virtual keys.

Full details can be found at the Google Geo Developers blog.

The following is an excerpt from the Google Maps API FAQ page:

Web sites and applications using each of the Maps API may at no cost generate:

up to 25,000 map loads per day for each API

up to 2,500 map loads per day that have been modified using the Styled Maps feature

If your application exceeds these usage limits you must respond in one of the following ways in order to continue using the Maps API in your application:

Modify your Maps API application such that the number of map loads generated per day is below the usage limit for each API that your application uses;

Enroll for automated billing of excess map loads; or

Purchase a Maps API Premier license

Non-profits and applications deemed in the public interest (as determined by Google at its discretion) are not subject to these usage limits.

25,000 map loads per day is a pretty high number. We don’t think this news from Google will have an impact our customers, but we want to be sure. Tell us, do you think the new Google Map API limits will affect your ClassiPress or JobRoller site? Are you getting in excess of 25,000 map loads per day?

It brings a new unique flavor to stock Android to enchance use experience.

Essentially it’s just the popular HTC Sensation with the addition of Beats audio processing, but it’s been given another couple of decent upgrades too.

The big one in our eyes is the battery – we’re now being offered a 1730mAh power pack which should help offset the over the top power consumption that plagued the original Sensation.

But then again, the extra power could be swallowed up by the improved processor, which now comes in at a whopping 1.5GHz dual core flavour. When you consider only a couple of years ago we were gasping at 1GHz phones, it’s a big leap forward.

The HTC Sensation XE does also completely outdo the original in the design stakes too; while it has the same shape and ‘striped aluminium’ design on the back, it’s now been given some red accents and a darker chassis to make it look that much edgier. We’re looking forward to holding it up when walking past gangs of youths to get the necessary respect.

We were impressed with the internet browser though – the Sensation’s offering had an ever-so-slight stutter at times, but it seems that’s been wiped out now on the XE. We’ll email Dr Dre to say thank you.

So, onto the audio – that’s what you’ll be buying the phone for, right? The HTC Sensation XE features a dedicated Beats Audio profile, complete with the audio manipulation technology HTC bought the company for. You’ll have to have a pair of Beats headphones to make it work, but thankfully a pair of earbuds is included in the box.

The Beats Audio option was present in the video player as well, and we reckon most people won’t be too upset with what they’re hearing if using the Beats mode for movies.

The XE looks nicer, sounds better and (hopefully) lasts longer, so we suggest you keep it in mind if you’re due an upgrade.
