Music plays a role in all of our lives, and is present at almost every stage of it with resounding beats and swelling melodies that echo our own emotions and ambitions. Even the paths we follow in life can be likened to music, whether we live by a beat evenly paced or staccato or even syncopated. We get the most out of life, though – as well as music – when we blend together with others’ beats and melodies to form a harmony like that of the best classical music or the grooviest jazz.

In celebration of music’s sheer uplifting and emotive power, the Philippine Madrigal Singers have worked with choirs from all walks of life with the Madz Et Al network since 1981. This year, the Madz recognize the smooth and moving flow of jazz music and how it expresses the ups and downs of our lives with “Choral Rhythms: The 2010 Madz Et Al Jazz Festival”, a musical gathering in the proud Madz Et Al tradition of spotlighting among the most hardworking and talented upcoming choral groups.

The festival runs from May 2 to May 8 at the Philamlife Theater, UN Avenue Manila, beginning at 7 p.m. featuring various choirs from all over the Philippines.

A Michael Jackson tribute dance has been performed by the Cebu inmates, the same ones who made the ‘Thriller‘ dance famous a few years ago.

More than 1,500 inmates rehearsed for nine hours straight to put on the show just two days after the pop singer died.

The inmates have previously performed songs like ‘Jai Ho‘, but it was their dance to ‘Thriller‘ that made them so famous. They started their tribute with a prayer to Jackson, then they sang and danced to his hit with Lionel Richie, ‘We Are the World‘.

They then performed the other hits ‘Ben‘ and ‘I’ll Be There‘ before finishing with their famous dance to ‘Thriller‘.

The original ‘Thriller’ video by them has been watched over 23 million times on YouTube, and prison officials had heard that Michael himself had watched it. Their choreographer Byron Garcia, said he was shocked at the news that Jackson had died and that many of the inmates were devastated.

He’s one of my favorite gospel singers and I really love his voice…(haha th) and collect almost all of his albums. Listen to one of his songs entitled There is a Fountain.

Thai Pantene television commercial. Its simply brilliant. The story of a deaf and mute girl who learns to play the violin against all odds. One of the most touching advertisements I’ve ever seen in my life. I don’t know why my tears suddenly fell.

I really love Peace….this should be my next theme song…

I am not really a die hard fan of Michael Jackson but of course I like him as a musician, showbiz personality and specially the achievements he has done when it to comes community service according to Guiness Book of World Records. Of course I was also sad when the news explode that he passed away. The whole world was in shocked and disbelief, unable to accept the fact that the King of Pop has gone. Well, really I am not a fan but you can contact me if you want a link where you can download his songs and videos.

I wrote this blog because I really have doubts in his death or it maybe a hoax. With his much money he can do anything. What if he’s not really dead and all what he wants is to cherish the remaining days of his life a normal person. We all know that he missed his childhood ever since his father put him into stage and perform all of his life, what a father.

This is what ‘appears’ to be a copy of Michael Jackson’s Death Certificate.

The existence of this document, however, still fails to prove beyond a doubt that ‘The King of Pop’ is really deceased.

1. This Death Certificate lists the Cause of Death as ‘Deferred’, meaning that even after two autopsies, they are still unable to provide a difinitive answer as to how MJ died.
2. This Death Certificate has not been signed by a Physician. Survivors cannot bury or otherwise dispose of a corpse until a licensed physician signs a permanent death certificate or a medical examiner signs a temporary death certificate, this is the law.
3. This Death Certificate has not been signed by any Coroner or Government Official.
4. After the death certificate has been signed, local authorities usually issue a certificate of disposition of remains, also known as a burial or cremation permit. Crematories and cemeteries require this form before they will cremate or bury a body. This may be why MJ has not been buried, with no plans in place as yet to do so either.

Death certificates are occasionally used to fake a person’s death for insurance fraud and to evade law enforcement officials or irate relatives. “Official” Los Angeles County death certificates, for example, were readily available in the mid-1990s for between $500 and $1,000 each.

Medical examiners (or coroners) list the cause of death as “pending” or “deferred” until further laboratory tests determine the actual cause of death. Except in unusual cases, disposition of the remains need not wait for the final autopsy report, which may take weeks to complete.

The issue with burying the body of Michael Jackson then, is that the Doctor and Coroner will not/have not signed his certificate.

The other reported issue appears to be that the Jackson family are divided about where to bury Michael Jackson, Neverland or Forest Lawn Cemetery.

California Law prevents burial of human remains on Private Land, therefore Neverland is out….

So what’s the hold up?

We believe it’s yet another ’stall’ by the Jackson Clan, allowing them some more time to get used to saying out loud that MJ has acutally died.

The memorial was easy, singing, talking, dark sunglasses and bowed heads, but to have to actually go ahead and stage the burial as well…the family obviously have to get it together and get their ’story’ straight before they go down that road.
