Goodman’s iPod Boombox

Friday, May 16th, 2008

Goodman’s iPod boombox has it all: 7in LCD, speakers, 3-in-1 multicard reader.

The Goodman’s brand has been around a while and I can remember my first home Hi-Fi was by Goodmans, but back then they never had something like this Goodman’s iPod boombox that has it all in one sleek unit. You will not only find an iPod but also a 7-inch LCD, speakers and a 3-in-1 multicard reader.

While not everyone will want an iPod sound system packed with other gadgets, for those that do will find lots to love in Goodmans latest device. Gone are the days of just listening to music on your boombox as with the 7 inch LCD display on this device you can watch stored videos, that can be music videos, movies or anything else that takes your fancy.

When you take into account all that’s included (see features below) then the price of £89.99 ($178) seems a good deal. The main features include playable files from iPod series, full function remote control, supports multi language, acts as a USB host, 3-In-1 card reader (SD/MMC/MS), support MP3 music players, full iPod docking functionality with iPod charging, superior surround sound and led backlight.

What do you think of the “Goodmans iPod Dock with 7” LCD Display”, leave a comment and lets us know.

Iron Man vs. Various Adversaries

Wednesday, April 30th, 2008

The Iron Man movie will now fly into a crowded, expensive theater near you. If you’re not braving the fan horde to see it on opening night Thursday, you might be following my plan: See if your friends like it, and if they do, catch the flick on Blu-ray.

That leaves you with three to five months to fill while waiting for the Golden Avenger to soar into your living room and leave scorch marks on the wall-to-wall. But is Iron Man really the best use of your iron dollar? Might there be other, equally ferrous, folks who meet or exceed the quality standards over at Stark Industries? I think we should investigate.

Every Child Can Learn

Thursday, March 27th, 2008

The Suzuki method believes that musical ability can be developed in all children. Even though your child shows no signs of being musical, do you believe that he or she will suddenly pick up an instrument and play?

Let’s attend the private violin class for children, although some students are not musical geniuses. Some are so active and restless we couldn’t imagine that they would make good violinists. But once they picked up the violin or any instrument and played, the children looked happy and proud with the tune they have produced.

The music method, also known as the Suzuki approach, was initiated more than 40 years ago by Shinichi Suzuki, a Japanese violinist and educator, who based his approach on the belief that “Musical ability is not an inborn talent but an ability which can be developed” - just like children develop the ability to speak their mother tongue. 007: ‘Quantum of Solace’ Poster Teaser

Wednesday, February 6th, 2008

james bond

Moviefone has just unleashed the exclusive teaser poster for the next James Bond film, Quantum of Solace (click on the image above to check out a larger version), and I’m totally digging the way they went about this one. Love the shadow, love the gun in the air, and I love the fact that there’s this lonely sense of dread. Or maybe I’m just reading into it too much. I’m also wondering if this poster was created prior to the Quantum of Solace title being chosen, because it’s not mentioned on the poster at all. Below the above image, all we get is the classic 007 logo, followed by the words ‘November 2008′ underneath. Either way, it’s all good.

In addition to the poster, Moviefone also has a Bond photo gallery for you to scroll through, featuring info on the new film, like how Quantum of Solace picks up 20 minutes after Casino Royale, making it the first direct sequel in Bond film history. Word has it they’ve practically doubled the amount of action in this flick, compared to Casino Royale, and so you Bond fans out there should definitely get your money’s worth.

As an extra special bonus, check out a really sweeet Quantum of Solace behind-the-scenes video (with director Marc Forster and a beaten-up Daniel Craig, among others) below. Quantum of Solace arrives in theaters on November 7, 2008.
