Yesterday is another much awaited event for boxing fans like me who watched the “Who R U Picking?” between Floyd Mayweather and Shane Mosley. For me it’s kinda boring, no excitement compared to Manny Pacquiao every time he fights.
In my poll, it seems that everybody really wants a Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight happened to see who really is the best among the best and the greatest among the greats, etc. whatever title they call that be. But anyway, here’s a report from Pinoysport.com my favorite filipino sports site.
MANILA, Philippines – He chose to sleep rather than watch the fight.
Manny Pacquiao’s personal assistant yesterday said the reigning pound-for-pound champion, who’s in the homestretch of a congressional campaign in his home province, skipped watching yesterday’s fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Shane Mosley.
The whole world must have watched the 12-round contest, either on screen or at the packed MGM Grand in Las Vegas, but Pacquiao, according to Bren Evangelio, was so tired campaigning the night before that as of 3 p.m. yesterday he was still in bed.
“Tulog pa po (Still sleeping),” Evangelio texted.Read more…
Eli (Denzel Washington) has been on a journey for 30 years, walking west across America after a cataclysmic war that turned the earth into a total wasteland. The world has become a lawless civilization where people must kill or be killed. The barren roads belong to gangs of cutthroats who rob and kill for water, a pair of shoes, a lighter, or just for fun. Eli is a peaceful man who only acts in self defense, and becomes a warrior with unbelievable killing skills when he is challenged. After the war and the “Big Flash”, Eli was guided by a higher power to a hidden book and given the task of protecting the book and taking it to its final destination. Eli guards the book with his life, because he knows that the book is the only hope that humanity has for its future.
After watching the full movie, I started relating myself asking? how is my faith to HIM as I struggle my everyday journey? Am I still in the path carrying the task on my shoulder aiming to complete this race to win?
The movie closes with the final words of Eli’s last prayer, saying he has completed his job, won the race, and kept the faith, as we see Solara starting up Eli’s iPod, and begin walking the road on the start of her own journey… to find her mother, and spread the word of hope that Eli brought; the words of hope for mankind’s future… and shepherd them to where they can learn of the hope they almost lost.
Today i want to share great movie themes I found in the internet. These are great themes from the television series and movies in the 80′s and 90′s. Well, below is the play-list, I hope you like it to. Thanks to keJ94 of France.

Music plays a role in all of our lives, and is present at almost every stage of it with resounding beats and swelling melodies that echo our own emotions and ambitions. Even the paths we follow in life can be likened to music, whether we live by a beat evenly paced or staccato or even syncopated. We get the most out of life, though – as well as music – when we blend together with others’ beats and melodies to form a harmony like that of the best classical music or the grooviest jazz.
In celebration of music’s sheer uplifting and emotive power, the Philippine Madrigal Singers have worked with choirs from all walks of life with the Madz Et Al network since 1981. This year, the Madz recognize the smooth and moving flow of jazz music and how it expresses the ups and downs of our lives with “Choral Rhythms: The 2010 Madz Et Al Jazz Festival”, a musical gathering in the proud Madz Et Al tradition of spotlighting among the most hardworking and talented upcoming choral groups.
The festival runs from May 2 to May 8 at the Philamlife Theater, UN Avenue Manila, beginning at 7 p.m. featuring various choirs from all over the Philippines.Read more…
After doing some online projects (while downloading torrent movie on the background), just take time to relax and watch “The Blind Side” starred by Sandra Bullock.
The story depicts the life of Michael Oher, a homeless African-American kid who is a product of a broken home, taken cared of and adopted by the Touhy’s, a rich white family who helped him unlock his full potential. Oher became the 2009 NFL draft playing as an offensive lineman for the Baltimore Ravens.
For 17 years, Michael Oher (Quinton Aaron) has been in foster care with different families. Everytime he is sent to a new home, he usually runs away, feeling lonely and depressed. His fathers friend enrolled “Big Mike” in a christian school after the father convinces the coach that he is a natural athlete.
At Wingate Christian School ( a fictional representation of Briarcrest Christian School in Memphis Tenessee ), “Big Mike” met SJ, the son of Leigh Anne Touhy. One night, the family saw “Big Mike” strolling in the park, shivering in the cold. Leigh Anne pities his situation and offered “Big Mike” a place to stay. The next morning, much to Leigh Anne’s dismay, He saw the bed sheets properly folded and saw “Big Mike” walking out to the driveway. She then offered him if he could stay for thanksgiving, which he did. From then on, “Big Mike” slowly became part of the family and got close with SJ and Lily. Read more…
The Panagbenga Festival is held yearly during the month of February. The celebrations are held for over a month and peak periods are the weekends. The Panagbenga Festival showcases the many floral floats and native dances. The fragrant smells that could be presently teasing olfactory senses are probably less from the now-dried flowers from Valentine’s Day than air floating all the way from Baguio City. At this time of year, the City of Pines is almost surely in flower fury over Panagbenga festival, the city’s biggest festival.
One of Nickelodeon’s biggest shows, with an appeal over an incredibly large cross-section of viewers, was Avatar: The Last Airbender. When you couple a big-name kids’ show with great storytelling and a huge following with the rolling slow-motion train wreck that is M. Night Shyamalan, you get The Last Airbender, coming to theatres July 2010.
The Last Airbender will send us out with Aang, the last of the Airbender race and heir to the great legacy of Avatars, masters of all four elements. Aang ventures forth along with some familiar friends to defeat the grasping Fire Nation, masters of the fire element who have conquered most of the planet. Check out the trailer.
A Michael Jackson tribute dance has been performed by the Cebu inmates, the same ones who made the ‘Thriller‘ dance famous a few years ago.
More than 1,500 inmates rehearsed for nine hours straight to put on the show just two days after the pop singer died.
The inmates have previously performed songs like ‘Jai Ho‘, but it was their dance to ‘Thriller‘ that made them so famous. They started their tribute with a prayer to Jackson, then they sang and danced to his hit with Lionel Richie, ‘We Are the World‘. Read more…
