Google Adsense: Pays out with Western Union

December 29th, 2007 jimer No comments

I logged in today to my Google Adsense account and saw that the Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) for my November Adsense payout via Western Union Quick Cash is already available.

Since the Western Union (WU) method was offered two months ago, the MTCN was always released to publishers a bit delayed. The Money Transfer Control Number for my October 2007 earnings, for example, appeared on my account only on November 1. For my November earnings, I was able to receive the payout only on December 2.

But with the MTCN for November now out, I can encash my Adsense income before the end of December 2007. Woot!

Happy New Year, indeed!

P.S. Before you encash your Adsense earnings, here’s a Western Union payout tip. Scout first for the WU branch that offer the highest exchange rate because not all Western Union pickup outlets have the same rates.

Again, happy new year!

Yahooo! New Year again!

December 28th, 2007 jimer No comments

“Time flies so fast when you’re having fun” so as the saying goes. And once again, Christmas came and went and we never noticed. The question is, why haven’t you noticed? Is it because you’re too busy with your career, busy with your business, with your love life? You’re hard to locate because you have to attend to a meeting, need to go somewhere for a presentation, finish the paperworks to meet deadline, close a deal and transaction or just spend most of your time infront of computer just like me ;-) .

I know that I am not the only one guilty about this, but most of us are. We are aware that we really need that break, that sought-after vacation leave in Boracay you’ve been planning to have five (5) years ago but somehow, until now this is still a hard task to do. So with the coming of the new year, you will then take your pen and paper and write again your new year’s resolution with BORACAY in capital letters placed in number two spot with MIRACLE positioned in number 1. But as they say also, it is you who designs your destiny. At the end of each day, you will be the one to decide for yourself what is best for you. If you let circumstances dictate your life, then your much needed vacation will still be miracle to achieve. But if you will take the wheels and make decisions for yourself, then maybe this year, the miracle would be a reality.

ENJOY this coming year 2008!

Banned: Condom Commercial

December 27th, 2007 jimer No comments

As I watch this banned condom commercial, my temper hits the top. I don’t get it why this ads clip shows a kid crying and destroying whatever he can reach inside a grocery and then at the end of the commercial it will show in big letter-words USE CONDOM. I’m just happy that this child is not mine. Any comment to enlighten?

Earning from my Diary

December 25th, 2007 jimer No comments

Blog Advertising - Get Paid to BlogMy diary is my personal life and been randomly posted here on my site. I also included videos and pictures to make it more interesting and attractive. Not all are fortunate enough to manage and maintain a space on the net to host their site including their desired domain name. But now, technology has been become popular and cheaper so that everyone can afford to have one.

Every time I read a discussion thread in a forum, they always said that I will get paid for blogging. I was curious about Smorty, one of the leading paying sites for bloggers which has good record in paying their members. The first time I sent my application for their review about three (3) weeks ago, and unfortunately, it was declined. I’m posting this because I want to emphasize that I did not give up easily. I know they have set of standards to be met before my site can be approved and included so I tried applying again and this time they accepted it.

Through blogging, I am not only voicing my opinions and reviews but being paid at the same time. It also increases my websites traffic and effectively popularize advertisers website.

Napanak I-diay, part1…(I’ve been there)

December 19th, 2007 jimer No comments

Last week-end our group, the Philippine Male Singers was given a chance to visit Bangued, Abra…one of the province located in the northern part of the Philippines. Our group was invited to sing an intermission number during their local choral group competition and our director Mr Robert Delgado is one of the judges. Also the following day early in the morning we render responses and a mini concert during their “simbang gabi” or early morning mass. This was courtesy of their beloved hometown Mayor and officials as they celebrate their holiday season. Thanks also to Jay-R.

abra-welcome.jpgGoing to Bangued is not easy because it will take us 9 long hours travel by bus, i don’t know yet if they have option to travel by plane. One thing that I was curious about is we have to pass through a tunnel to reach Bangued, and that tunnel is under the mountain. What if that tunnel collapsed or blocked? Surely trading of goods both incoming and outgoing of supplies in that town will stop. Well, that’s only my opinion.

Bangued is a landlocked municipality. The name of Bangued means “roadblock”. Read more…

Chicken! but is it really chicken?

December 14th, 2007 jimer No comments

Are you fond of eating exotic food like snakes, frogs, reptiles, etc.? If you’ve been in Asia, you will see a lot of these delicacies prepared for you. But the question is, will you able to take it and swallow it if you know how it’s been prepared? I don’t know if this will serve as a warning to those who will dine to Asian restaurant and be aware of what’s being served or you’ll get more excited to taste this new type of food.

Be careful !!..It may LOOK like chicken but is it REALLY chicken ??

Procedures:

  • catch rats (i don’t know how and where you will)
  • burning the hair off them
  • washing them before cooking
  • cutting them up into pieces that simulate chicken parts
  • prepare for deep frying
  • well seasoned to taste great!!!
  • all done and ready to eat

First Flight

korea.jpg

Eversince, flying has always been my dream.  I’ve been wondering what will be the feeling when you are up there with the clouds and when you look down, everything are all miniatures.  This dream came true when I had the chance to went to Busan, South Korea for a singing competition.

Busan (Pusan) has South Korea’s largest port and is located in the southeast part of the Korean peninsula. The most popular areas for Busan hotels are the Haeundae Beach, Yeongju-dong, and Busan Station areas.

They say that your first time experiences are the most unforgettable and sure enough, my visit to this country will be a part of my lifestory.  My feelings at that time were all mixed up maybe because subconsciously in my mind we have to focus on our goal why we are there or else we will disappoint not just ourselves, our director and most specially our beloved country as we are representing the Philippines.

As we all aboard Asiana Airlines around 3:30 in the morning on October 31, I am nervous and at the same time excited because this is my first time to ride a plane. It will take us 3-4 hours  before we reach our destination.  Since it’s almost daybreak and I can’t sleep anymore, I look outside the window and was so amazed how golden yellow the sky is at this time as the sun reflects it’s brightness.  As the plane descends, I felt a cold feeling within me, not just because of the landing but of what will be ahead of us.  At 8:00 in the morning, our plane landed and I thank God we arrived safely.

Overnight shift to be classified as ‘probable’ cancer cause

December 10th, 2007 jimer No comments

LONDON, England (AP) — Like UV rays and diesel exhaust fumes, working the graveyard shift will soon be listed as a “probable” cause of cancer.

Graveyard shift work disrupts the circadian rhythm, the body’s biological clock.

It is a surprising step validating a concept once considered wacky. And it is based on research that finds higher rates of breast and prostate cancer among women and men whose work day starts after dark.

Next month, the International Agency for Research on Cancer, the cancer arm of the World Health Organization, will add overnight shift work as a probable carcinogen.

The American Cancer Society says it will likely follow. Up to now, the U.S. organization has considered the work-cancer link to be “uncertain, controversial or unproven.”

The higher cancer rates don’t prove working overnight can cause cancer. There may be other factors common among graveyard shift workers that raise their risk for cancer. Read more…
